As expected, as soon as the new Gazelle Next came out, all kinds of its modifications and special cars based on it began to appear. Moreover, the modular design of the Gazelle allows you to quickly develop and implement all kinds of new designs, not only the Gorky Automobile Plant itself but also the widest circle of third-party manufacturers.
And all because GAZ spare parts for modular types of construction are interchangeable.
It so happened that one of the most familiar and recognizable special vehicles based on a gazelle van is a medical car. Only the modification of a recognizable yellow fixed-route taxi could compete with it in terms of prevalence at one time. Therefore, it is not surprising that one of the first special vehicles based on the successor of the old Gazelle was precisely an ambulance. It was presented at the exhibition under the name “Integrated Security” at the end of May 2013.
This is a Class C medical vehicle, that is, a reanimobile. It is almost impossible to find out his predecessor in it - only the family features of the cabin itself remained. If previously Gazelle medical cars were manufactured on the basis of all-metal vans, then the new car was built on the basis of the “bare” chassis. A specialized medical module is installed on the car frame. The car looks unusual for Russia. Medical special vehicles of this form are more familiar to us from American films: right behind the cab, the car expands significantly, and the module itself has the shape of a parallelepiped.
This form of resuscitation vehicle is the standard throughout the world: it allows you to place in the module much more important medical devices and rescue equipment than a standard all-metal body.
In this module, you can provide quality medical care, resuscitators are not forced to work in cramped conditions, as is happening today.
At the same exhibition, in addition to the resuscitation modification of the Gazelle Next, Nizhny Novgorod showed another special car: a patrol-and-post modification of Sable for the needs of the Ministry of the Interior. This modification provides a place for a crew of four, a system for storing special equipment and firearms, as well as an integrated video surveillance and video recording system. Another model shown is an off-road modification of a wide-ranging Sable.
